Emporia High diver Braxton Higgins continued his domination winning the Centennial League Championship and smashed the school and League Meet record at Thursdays league meet.
He finished with a score of 548.55. That also earned him 1st team all-league honors.
Emporia High also had 4 top 10 finishes.
Daniel Knapp finished in 7th place in the breaststroke and 8th place in the butterfly and earned an all-league honorable mention.
The 200 free relay of Rudy Bedolla, Mason Harmon, Cam Geitz, and Daniel Knapp finished in 6th place.
The 400 free relay of Rudy Bedolla, Cam Geitz, Jadon Lantz, and Tyler Luthi finished in 7th place.
As a team, Emporia High finished in 7th place. Washburn Rural won the league title.
The State swim and dive meet will be held next week. The Spartans will find out if any consideration times qualify by Tuesday.
Diver Braxton Higgins has automatically qualified for State.
