Should you take ibuprofen or Tylenol before your secondary COVID-19 vaccine or afterward?
Local health officials say you should wait — at least based on current guidance. On KVOE’s most recent COVID-19 Vaccination briefing, Lyon County Public Health Incident Commander Renee Hively says it’s all about the body’s response to the medications.
The question is being asked more regularly now with secondary vaccinations beginning in earnest this week for Phase 1-eligible residents. Here’s Newman Regional Health Pharmacy Director Ashley Edwards:
Closed vaccination pods are set up for this upcoming Saturday, Feb. 19 and Feb. 26 for this purpose, all at the Bowyer Community Building.
Meanwhile, primary vaccinations continue this week with a closed pod for Phase 2 seniors at the Bowyer Community Building this upcoming Friday. Six hundred vaccines are available for that clinic.
