Flint Hills Technical College has announced the team that will find the college’s next president.
Tech College Board President Ken Roemer will chair the committee, with fellow board member Pat Wiederholt serving as vice chair.
The 16-member committee will help the college’s Board of Trustees with the search. Advertising for the position started in mid-December and several candidates have already submitted their information. Candidates for initial interviews will be presented to the board at its meeting next month. Interviews with the board and search committee, along with candidate forums held with college employees and students and the community, will also be scheduled next month.
Search committee recommendations for the top three candidates will be presented for board review in April. The board is currently planning to announce a new president in June.
Current President Dean Hollenbeck announced his plan to retire last fall. He has led the college since 2006.
