Wildlife is the suspected cause behind a small power outage that impacted Waverly High School on Wednesday.
Power went out around 8 am, according to Evergy. The outage was limited to the high school and a handful of nearby properties.
Online students were unable to log in for classes while the outage was underway. Power was restored around 9:30 am.

Waverly High School is contending with a power outage.
The high school announced the outage on social media shortly before 8:30 am. It also says online students will not be able to log in for classes until the outage is resolved.
Waverly’s elementary school is not affected.
Evergy has listed two outages in Waverly with less than five total customers affected. A cause has not been announced. Estimated restoration time is close to 10 am.
