The rate of coronavirus caseload increases remains steady.
Lyon County Public Health announced 22 new cases between Friday and Monday, the third straight reporting period with 30 or less cases for the county after 25 new cases were reported both Jan. 27 and this past Friday.
The number of active cases increased slightly from 121 to 126. Deaths remained at 71. Deaths awaiting final cause from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment stayed at six. Active hospitalizations went from two Friday to one Monday.
With almost 13,400 residents getting tested, 40 percent of Lyon County’s estimated population has now had that procedure over the last 10 months.
