The Kansas Jayhawks fell behind early and were not able to recover against Tennessee losing 80-61, in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
The Jayhawks were led by three players in double figures, including a team-high 17 points from David McCormack. Marcus Garrett also scored in double figures with 15 points, followed by Jalen Wilson with 10 points.
The Jayhawks are scheduled to host Kansas State Tuesday night.
Kansas State lost to Texas A&M 68-61 in the Big-12/SEC Challenge.
It was a close game with 8 lead changes and 4 ties in the second half. A&M made 11 of 11 free throws to close out the game to secure the win.
Nijel Pack led Kansas State with 26 points. Mike McGuirl (Mc-girl) finished with 10 points.
The Wildcats will look to end an 8 game losing skid at Kansas on Tuesday.
Wichita State needed overtime to defeat Central Florida 93-88 Saturday.
Tyson Etienne matched his season-high with 29 points and became the fastest Shocker to 100 career threes.
The Shockers are now 9-4 for the season and 5-2 in the American Athletic Conference.
They are scheduled to host Tulane on Wednesday.
