Lyon County continued its moderate increase in COVID-19 cases Friday.
Public Health announced 25 new cases bringing the overall total since last March to 3,845. With 21 recoveries the active case number rose by one to 121.
Three new deaths were reported bringing the death count to 71 plus six deaths awaiting final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. There are no active hospitalizations as of Friday.
Elsewhere in the KVOE listening area:
* Osage County announced seven new cases Thursday bringing the overall total to 926. Active cases decreased from 39 to 32. One new death also occurred bringing the death count to 11.
*Coffey County announced 14 new cases and 30 recoveries Thursday bringing the active total to 17 down from 32 a week ago. The death count remained at 12.
Greenwood County should report numbers Friday evening.
