Kansas Senator Roger Marshall has announced the state will receive over $26 million for vaccination efforts, including the current push to eliminate coronavirus.
Marshall says the money will support Kansas public health programs. The goal is to ensure high vaccination numbers and public health departments’ abilities to respond to various disease threats. COVID-19 and other emerging public health emergencies qualify for the funding, both now and in the future.
Further details on how this would affect Lyon County Public Health or area health departments have not been announced.
