Lyon County continues its relatively consistent upward trend in coronavirus cases.
Lyon County Public Health announced 42 new cases between Friday and Monday. This pushes the total number to 3,795 over the last 10 months.
The active case number remained at 136, while the number of deaths stayed flat at 68. The number of deaths awaiting final information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment was level at five and the number of active hospitalizations remained at two.
Previous reports since Jan. 8 have been anywhere from 33 to 62 cases. It’s also the lowest report since Dec. 21, when 17 new cases were announced.
