If you are hoping to ride in the Unbound Gravel bike race this summer you have until the end of the month to submit your name for the chance.
The Unbound Gravel Registration Lottery went live Friday morning and will continue until Jan. 30. To enter the lottery cyclists simply need to visit Unboundgravel.com and follow the steps from the home page.
This is the fourth year for the lottery selection system for Unbound. Events coordinator LeLan Dains says the original selection process that operated on a first come first serve basis had a habit of “breaking the internet” hence the change.
The chosen individuals for this year’s Unbound Gravel race will be announced on Feb. 8. Unbound Gravel is scheduled for Jun. 5th this year.
Last year’s event, then still known as Dirty Kanza, was postponed and eventually canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As for expectations for this year’s event, Dains says his only expectation is that he doesn’t know what to expect.
