The case against a man accused of leading several law enforcement jurisdictions on a chase across parts of four counties is set to be back in Lyon County District Court for a hearing Wednesday.
Joshua Forero stands accused of leading a chase from Emporia to Franklin County after a suspicious van was reported in Emporia’s Dollar Tree parking lot over the Memorial Day weekend last year. He is formally charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, interference with a law enforcement officer, flee and elude and other counts.
Emporia Police and Lyon County deputies were involved along with Coffey County deputies and the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Forero has a hearing at 1 pm in Lyon County District Court.
