Lyon County saw its largest increase in new COVID-19 cases this month between reporting periods Monday and Wednesday.
Public Health reported 91 new cases, the highest total since Nov. 18 when 83 new cases were reported. The overall total now stands at 3,283 since late March. 100 new recoveries were reported dropping the active case number to 103.
Two new deaths were reported between Monday and Wednesday bringing the death count to 59 with four deaths still pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Active hospitalizations increased from seven to eight.
