Investigations have completed after two recent fires in east Emporia.
Emporia Fire Marshal Reason Bradford says the causes of fires at 505 Exchange on Dec. 23 and 1225 Exchange on Monday will both be listed as undetermined.
The fire at 505 Exchange damaged the top floor of the three-story house and destroyed the top half of the chimney. Firefighters also had to pull the second-floor roof to get to the fire and put it out. There were some early indications the fire started on the third floor, but Bradford says the origination point is unclear.
The fire at 1225 Exchange started in a bedroom in the rear apartment unit and was limited to the back unit.
No injuries were reported with either fire.
