A near week-long break between coronavirus reports brought some minor increases to both the overall and active COVID-19 case numbers, but not by much.
Public Health reported 36 new cases since Wednesday putting the overall total to 3,192 since late March. With 34 recoveries the active case total increased by two from 112 Wednesday to 114 Monday.
The death toll remained at 57 with four cases pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Active hospitalizations remained steady at seven.
Elsewhere in the KVOE listening area:
*Osage County reported 39 new cases Monday bringing the overall total to 699. The active case number increased to 44 up seven from a week ago. Two deaths also occurred between reporting periods bringing the death count to eight.
*Coffey County reported 61 new cases Monday bringing the overall total to 468 cases since March. The active case number dropped from 58 to 28. 10 deaths have been reported since the onset of the pandemic.
