The Lyon County Commission is now complete once again following the swearing-in of new Second District Commissioner Doug Peck Tuesday morning.
Peck assumed the position a bit earlier than usual after former Second District Commissioner Dan Slater resigned from the position shortly after the general election last month. Peck’s name was sent off to Governor Laura Kelly for official approval by Lyon County Republicans after a unanimous vote last week.
Peck won the seat after defeating fellow Republicans Phil Mott and Robert McClelland in the August primary and Democrat Ronald McCoy in the general election.

Peck’s first meeting on the commission is Wednesday morning at 9 am.
