Lyon County deputies are asking for help as they try to solve recent damage to mailboxes near Emporia.
Detective Sergeant Jacob Welsh says there are at least two rounds of activity. The first happened shortly before Thanksgiving when several mailboxes were hit with pop cans and damaged in the 100 and 200 blocks of Road 180. The alleged damage happened between 8 pm Nov. 23 and 8:30 am Nov. 24.
The second round happened sometime between Saturday afternoon and 6:30 am Sunday and used the same method to damage the mailboxes. This involved mailboxes in the 400 to 600 blocks of Road 180, 300 and 400 blocks of Road 190 and the 1800 block of Road B-5.
Welsh says deputies are asking for any information and they are also reminding people to call in suspicious activity as soon as they see it.
