The United States Supreme Court has decided it will not hear a lawsuit aimed at challenging the results of the presidential election and Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt feels it is time to move on from the subject.
This comes after the state signed a brief supporting a Texas lawsuit aimed at challenging the results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The Supreme Court later announced it would not hear the case.
Schmidt announced Kansas’ backing of the lawsuit on Thursday. Following the Supreme Court’s announcement of its decision, Schmidt stated “the Court’s decision means it is time to put this election behind us.”
The lawsuit saw the involvement of more than a dozen states and garnered the support of over 100 members of the US House including well over a dozen Texas Republicans.
