Lyon County deputies have announced the results of their involvement in the Kansas Thanksgiving Safe Arrival traffic enforcement program.
Deputy Jody Meyers says there were 163 enforcement stops during the campaign around the Thanksgiving holiday. There weren’t any DUI arrests, but there were 56 speeding citations, two safety belt citations and 20 “other” citations and arrests.
Other area results are pending.
Participating law enforcement agencies were supported by grant funding through the Kansas Department of Transportation.
