Traffic was tied up for about an hour at the site of a reported injury crash in Emporia on Monday afternoon.
Emporia Police and Emporia Fire responded to Ninth and Prairie before 4 pm. The crash involved three vehicles, although it appears a fourth vehicle was also part of the incident. Officer Sinjin Andrews says the fourth vehicle was in the process of turning. A car behind it braked suddenly to avoid crashing. A pickup behind the car was unable to stop and rear-ended it. An SUV behind the pickup then hit the truck.
The drivers of all three involved vehicles were checked out by first responders. None needed additional medical treatment.
