The #11 Emporia State womens basketball team hosts Newman in their home opener Thursday.
The Lady Hornets and Newman are both 1-1 for the season.
Assistant Coach Kiel Unruh, who will be filling in for Head Coach Toby Wynn while he is in isolation, says Newman cannot be taken lightly.
Senior Fredricka Sheats hopes the Lady Hornets can build off of Saturdays win at Northeastern State.
Tip-off at White Auditorium is set for 6pm.
The game will be broadcast on MIX 104.9 beginning at 5:40p.
The general public will not be allowed to attend.

The Emporia State men will not play they remain quarantined due to COVID protocol.
