Lyon County Public Health’s coronavirus report indicates another burst of new cases, a major drop in active cases and several new deaths.
Public Health added 66 new cases since Monday, moving the overall total to 2,552 cases since late March. With 227 recoveries, the active caseload continued its recent drop and now stands at 284. That category had been as high as 734, based on initial reports late last month, but Public Health now says the peak was 611 cases Nov. 18.
Three people died due to the virus. The current total for Lyon County is 50.
Active hospitalizations dipped from 17 to 16. Overall hospitalizations since late March are at 151 for county residents.
