While they’ve had to be delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Granada Theatre still has plenty of exciting events coming to the local community.
Granada Director Rebeca Herrera joined KVOE’s Morning Show Wednesday to discuss some rescheduled performances. Herrera tells KVOE new dates have been set to welcome country singer Ashley Barron who will be taking the stage on Jan. 16 at 7 pm.
Herrera was also excited to announce that the Eli Young Band will still be stopping through Emporia next year. The band is scheduled to perform on Aug. 6th, a full year later than originally anticipated.
Herrera says she is extremely excited for the show and believes it will be well worth the wait.
Herrera also announced the inaugural Emporia Celebrities in Disguise fundraiser has been postponed to February with an official date set to be announced next week.
Thankfully, local residents won’t have to wait til next year, however, to enjoy some live music at the theatre as Elvis impersonator Joseph Hall will be performing his Elvis Rock and Roll Blue Christmas show next Friday at 7 pm. In-person attendance will be limited to 90 people due to local health orders with tickets still available.
