The Chase County Treasurer’s Office is telling residents to set appointments for services through the end of the year if they need assistance.
Treasurer L. Dow Wilson attributes the change in policy to unspecified staffing issues. Appointments for renewals, title work, driver’s license payments and tax payments can be scheduled between 9 am and 4 pm.
Renewals can be done online, by mail or at the courthouse dropbox. Tax payments can be done by mail or drop box. Insurance, however, will no longer be accepted on cell phones and need a paper copy if not already electronically filed with the state.
Wilson says the current situation will be re-evaluated at the end of the year. Chase County residents can call 620-273-6493 with questions.
