Perhaps the only bit of good news in Lyon County Public Health’s latest update on coronavirus numbers is a big dip in active cases.
The active caseload dropped from 723 to 563 after 311 patients were listed as recovered between Monday and Wednesday. However, Public Health announced 180 new cases to move the overall total to 2,337 cases since late March. Lyon County has now almost doubled its March-to-Oct. 26 total of 1,243 cases in a month.
One patient died between Monday and Wednesday, so the death toll is now at 47. Active hospitalizations for Lyon County residents went from 11 to 13.
