Flint Hills Community Health Center continued its trend of positive gains in October.
During the FHCHC Board of Directors meeting Tuesday, the board received the monthly financial report which indicated a nearly $940,000 net gain. The Health Center had budgeted for a net loss of $12,000 for the month.
The October gain follows a net gain of $85,000 for the month of September.
In other business, the board approved a sliding fee program discount as well as the 2019 audit and BKD engagement proposal. Approval was also given for the appointment of Emporia Police Lt. Kevin Risley to the Board of Directors.
Risley will attend his first meeting as an official board member during the board’s December meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at noon.
