A second area school district is having a special board meeting to discuss next steps when it comes to coronavirus.
USD 417 Morris County is meeting at 1 pm Sunday. The only discussion item is so-called mitigation tiers, and there may be action afterward. The district hasn’t had a lot of confirmed cases recently — just three new staff positives and 11 new student positives the past three weeks — but 11 staff quarantines over that time period has stretched teachers and support staff thin.
The meeting will be at the Council Grove Junior-Senior High Commons.
This precedes the USD 251 special board meeting on the same topic at 6 pm Monday night.
