New information and a new reporting timeline are coming to Lyon County’s COVID-19 tracking dashboard next week.
Lyon County Public Health is adjusting its dashboard, in place since April, so residents can see data coming directly from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Public Health says this will reduce “data flux” that may stretch as far as a week between the county and state data.
Public Health is changing its reporting dates to reflect those from Kansas Department of Health and Environment, meaning updates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays instead of weekdays. Public Health is also halting its reports for clusters because the rapid increase of community spread is making it difficult to track cluster-based information. The dashboard currently includes new cases, active cases, total cases, recovered patients, deaths, hospitalizations and demographics. Public Health has not said whether any of that data will be removed with the new layout.
