A Missouri woman crashed west of Bushong and went to the hospital for treatment as a result.
Lyon County Deputy Brandon Early says Lyon and Morris county deputies responded to the 400 block of US Highway 56, about four miles northwest of Bushong, shortly before 3:20 am Friday. Early says 25-year-old Mariah Hughes of Blue Springs was westbound and left the highway for currently unknown reasons. Her car went airborne and overturned before hitting an electric pole.
Hughes was wearing her seatbelt and suffered apparently minor injuries. She was taken to Morris County Hospital in Council Grove for treatment.
