An arrest warrant has been issued for one of three defendants in an Emporia business burglary from last year.
Aaron Coxwell had pleaded no contest to conspiracy, theft, attempted theft, burglary and other charges and had pleaded no contest in late August after Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal was burglarized May 16. However, County Attorney Marc Goodman says Coxwell failed to appear at his sentencing hearing Tuesday.
Co-defendants Nicholas Hall and Lesli Fontenot reached separate plea agreements last year on charges of burglary and conspiracy. Hall received 31 months in prison and Fontenot got 14 months for their involvement in the burglary at Kari’s and a separate burglary at TP Jewelry and Pawn a week before the Kari’s burglary.
