As Lyon County approaches 1,400 coronavirus cases over the last seven-plus months, five of the six area counties have surpassed 100 cases and the sixth is poised to pass that mark as well.
Chase County moved to 118 overall cases, reflecting outbreaks at Chase County Care and Rehab and the Chase County Detention Center along with community cases. Chase County has 107 cases a week ago.
Chase County Care and Rehab has 14 cases, up two from a week ago, with 10 active cases and one death. The revived cluster at the detention center has 65 total cases and six active. There are 39 community cases with two active cases and two deaths.
Greenwood County added 15 new cases Monday and now has 123 total. There are now 33 active cases.
Morris County added 13 cases since last week and now stands at 99 overall. The number of active cases went from 27 to 36.
Osage County added two cases since Monday and now has 173 total. Twenty are active. Four people have died.
Wabaunsee County added 13 cases over the past week and now has 100 total cases, making it the fourth area county to reach triple digits in overall cases. It has 12 active cases, up eight over the past week, and it has one death.
