Yet another event is coming off of the community calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Organizers of the annual All Veterans Tribute Activities have canceled the Veterans Art Exhibit reception scheduled for Thursday evening. The exhibit will still be up and available for viewing from now until Nov. 14 at the Emporia Arts Center.
Residents can vote for their favorite piece either at the exhibit or online at Emporiaksarts.org.
The reception’s cancellation is just one of two major adjustments to the All Veterans Tribute Calendar with the only other cancellation being the Veterans Day Breakfast at the Emporia Senior Center which was announced last week. As of now, all other activities including the Veterans Day parade, Memorial Service, All Veterans Round Table and other assorted activities are on as scheduled.
