Once again this week as the overall COVID-19 case number rises so too does the active case number for Lyon County.
Lyon County Public Health reported 10 new cases Tuesday bringing the overall total to 1,253. With eight new recoveries, the active case number has now risen to 74, up two from Monday.
The number of deaths has also increased to 40 with no cases currently pending death certificate information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
For clusters, a third cluster category has been added for gatherings with one active cluster, six cases, six active and no deaths.
*Colleges and Universities: 1 active cluster, 72 total cases, 3 active cases, 0 deaths
*Schools: 2 active cluster, 9 total cases, 6 active cases, 0 deaths
