Coronavirus has caused CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness to change the format of its fourth annual fundraising breakfast next month, but the virus hasn’t taken the event off the calendar.
The #COVIDCantStopGood breakfast is Nov. 5, and Chief Executive Officer Amanda Cunningham says there will be a different feel to the event with a shift to more of an “Oscars watch party” as opposed to a traditional breakfast. She also says it’s a big deal for her and the CrossWinds administration to celebrate the work of the staff and the personal successes that have developed over the past year — and to note CrossWinds’ 60th year of being the area’s primary nonprofit mental health provider.
The small groups will be set up across the CrossWinds seven-county service area, or Lyon and all surrounding counties. People participating will see streamed presentations of the past year’s successes and to hear several stories from clients who have used CrossWinds services to help their personal journeys.
The event Nov. 5 is from 8:30-9:30 am. For more information or to reserve a spot, call 208-3027 or email mcooper@crosswinds.org.
