Monday saw light snowfall areawide, which was enough to cause a lot of fender-bender and slideoff crashes and a few injury crashes as well.
*An Emporia woman was hurt after two vehicles collided on Kansas Highway 96 about five miles east of Mount Hope. Jade Vancil, age 22, lost control of her car and slid into a van driven by 42-year-old Steven Hamby of Hutchinson around 7:15 am. Vancil was taken to St. Theresa Hospital in Wichita for treatment of suspected minor injuries, while Hamby and a passenger were not hurt.
*About 10 minutes later, a LeRoy woman was hurt in southern Osage County. Christina Stohs, 47, was southbound on Interstate 35 when she lost control of her car about five miles north of Kansas Highway 31. The car went into a ditch and hit a culvert. Stohs went to Coffey County Hospital in Burlington with suspected minor injuries.
*One injury accident was reported Monday morning near the junction of Kansas Highway 99 and Road 70. Lyon County Deputy Zach Shafer says 37-year-old Natalia Guthrie of Olpe lost control of her SUV shortly after 8:10 am Monday. The SUV went into a ditch and rolled onto its roof. Guthrie suffered apparently non-life-threatening injuries and went to Newman Regional Health for observation and treatment. She was wearing her seatbelt.
