Two Emporia High cross country runners earned trips to the state Saturday.
Treyson True finished in 4th place in the boys race and Micah Sheffy-Harris finished in 12th place in the girls race at the Bishop Carroll regional to qualify.
As a team the Emporia High boys finished in 5th place and the girls finished in 4th place.
The Olpe boys earned a trip to the 1A State cross country meet by finishing 1st at the Buhler regional. They were led by Nolan Redeker who finished in 2nd place.
Macy Smith of Olpe and Emmy Punches of Burlingame also qualified for State.
Qualifying for the 2A state meet Brock Lauer of Chase County with a 2nd place finish.
From Northern Heights Cooper Hamlin and Jerrod Campbell. Teagan Hines qualified for the Northern Heights girls.
Brayden Marcotte of Lyndon and Cooper Schroer of Chase County also qualified.
Four runners from Burlington qualified for the 3A State championship. Seth Jarvis who won the boys race and Brian Payer qualified from the boys team.
Lillyan Gerow and Marijane Huff of Burlington and Jordyn Picolet of Council Grove qualified for the girls 3A state championship.
