The season came to an end for the Emporia High volleyball team at Sub-state Saturday.
The Lady Spartans were defeated by Andover 25-17, 25-20 in the semi-finals. They finished with a 17-11 record.
Newton defeated Andover in the Championship match.
Lebo is the lone area school to advance out of Sub-State play. Lebo defeated Burlingame in 3 sets, 25-27, 25-22, 27-25 in the Championship match.
They will host Centralia Tuesday for the right to advance to the 1A Division I final 4.
