Two people were taken to Newman Regional Health after a crash between Americus and Bushong on Thursday.
Lyon County Deputy Zach Shafer says the wreck happened in the 2700 block of Road F-5, or Americus Road, just before 3 pm. Emporian Rebecca Slack, age 67, was southbound when her SUV went off the road and hit a culvert.
Both Slack and 55-year-old Mark Danford of Emporia were taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Health for treatment after apparently non-life-threatening injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
