Emporia High and school district administrators are still quiet on why football coach Corby Milleson had his coaching contract terminated Wednesday night. However, the district has named his interim replacement.
Offensive line coach Keaton Tuttle is taking over with Emporia High traveling to Manhattan on Friday to close out the regular season.
Tuttle is in his sixth year of coaching the O-line after playing at Iowa Western Community College and Fort Hays State.
High school officials, district administrators and board members are not commenting on the action to terminate Milleson’s contract after allegations of abuse aired Wednesday on a Topeka TV station. Milleson had led the team since 2014 and remains on a contract to teach physical education and business.
