The first hard freeze of the fall is possible soon.
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for most of northeast and central Kansas, including the entire KVOE listening area, from late Friday night through 10 am Saturday. Overnight lows are expected in the upper 20s Friday night, cold enough for a killing frost.
Even colder temperatures are possible Monday night with overnight lows in the low 20s now expected.
