(ap) The Kansas City Chiefs ran past Buffalo 26-17 Monday night.
Led by Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s 161 yards rushing, the Chiefs finished with 245 rushing yards, the most since Patrick Mahomes took over as starter in 2017. Kansas City’s 46 rushing attempts were also the most in eight years under coach Andy Reid. Edwards-Helair gave credit to the make shift offensive line.
Darrel Williams scored the only rushing touchdown on a 13-yard run.
Patrick Mahomes completed 21 of 26 passes for 225 yards with two touchdowns, both to tight end Travis Kelce.
Chiefs Coach Andy Reid said they beared down.
With the win the Chiefs are now 5-1. They go to Denver on Sunday to face the Broncos.
