University of Kansas Running back Pooka Williams Jr has announced that he is opting out of the rest of the season.
In a tweet he said the decision was made so he could be closer to his mother who is battling health issues.
Pooka was named the Big-12 Special teams player of the week after he returned a kick-off 92 yards for a touchdown against West Virginia.
In the 1st 4 games Williams has carried the ball 51 times for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns.
