Lyon County is now just under 1,200 coronavirus cases after weekend activity.
Lyon County Public Health is reporting 13 new cases, moving the overall total to 1,195 cases since March. There were five recoveries and two deaths, so the active caseload climbed from 72 to 78 and the death toll went from 37 to 39. Two deaths are awaiting final cause from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
The number of hospitalizations remains at four. The overall percent positive rate is now 16.4 percent.
The colleges and universities cluster remains the only active category in Lyon County. There is one cluster with 70 total cases since mid-August. Nine cases are active.
Areawide:
*Greenwood County added three cases over the weekend and now has 75 cases total. Thirteen are active.
