An Emporia man now has a plea hearing ahead as court proceedings continue in an attempted robbery case from early this year.
Jeremy Spicer allegedly tried to get into the cash register at Econo Lodge Hotel, 2511 West 18th, on Jan. 7. He also acted in an allegedly suspicious manner with the hotel clerk afterward before allegedly telling the clerk to put money on the counter. The clerk ran and called police.
Spicer, 19, is accused of attempted aggravated robbery and making false information. The hearing is Oct. 30.
