Prison time is coming for a woman accused of leading a law enforcement pursuit from Emporia to western Osage County nearly two years ago.
Chelsea Brooks was sentenced to 32 months. The sentence related to a chase in December 2018 will be served concurrently to a federal drug case where she will serve 12 years in prison.
The federal government has not specified its prosecution of Brooks. Local prosecutors initially charged Brooks with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, flee and elude, drug charges and traffic violations, later dropping all but the assault charge as part of a plea agreement.
