It now appears the 2020 Census count is ending this week after all.
Siding with the Trump administration, which says it has enough information for an accurate count, the US Supreme Court says the count will stop at 5 am Central time on Friday. Justice Sonia Sotomayor was the only dissenting vote, saying hundreds of thousands of Americans could still go uncounted.
The Trump administration is also seeking Supreme court permission to not count undocumented immigrants from the data used to set the House of Representatives. The Supreme Court may decide as soon as Friday on whether to hear the case.
People interested in taking part in the Census should go online to www.2020census.gov. They can also call 844-330-2020 by 11 pm Thursday or postmark and mail the documentation by Thursday.
