The Emporia High boys soccer team was out scored by Berean Academy 2-1 Tuesday night.
Berean scored first, 10 minutes into the match.
The Spartans tied the match with over 22 minutes to play in the 1st half on a goal by Kaden Nguyen.
Berean retook the lead with 17:50 to play in the 1st half. The match remained scoreless the rest of the way.
Emporia High Coach Victor Ibarra said they could have played better.
The Spartans fall to 6-6-1. They are off until next Tuesday when they play at St. Marys Academy.
