Following Monday’s increase of over 20 new coronavirus cases, Lyon County Public Health noted a much smaller increase in new cases Tuesday.
Public Health announced three new cases Tuesday after mentioning 21 new cases for the weekend. After there were no patient recoveries for the weekend, Public Health announced eight recovered patients — pushing the active caseload from 81 to 76.
The number of deaths, both for COVID-confirmed activity and final cause information, remain steady. The number of confirmed deaths is at 37. The number of deaths awaiting final information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment is at four.
There is one active cluster category. Colleges and universities have one cluster with 65 total cases and four active cases.
