Emporia fire has concluded an investigation into a house fire that damaged a home in east Emporia Tuesday afternoon.
According to Battalion Chief Tony Fuller an undetermined cause led to the fire that brought crews to a home at 810 Sylvan around 2:45 pm. Fuller says the origination point of the fire was in the attic of the home on the southwest corner.
Fuller says the home did suffer smoke and water damage, however, there were no injuries reported.

Emporia Fire is investigating after a house was damaged by fire Tuesday afternoon.
Battalion Chief Tony Fuller tells KVOE News fire crews were called to 810 Sylvan around 2:45 pm, finding moderate smoke coming from the eaves. One crew went inside and found little to no fire on the first floor, but discovered some fire and smoke after poking a hole in the ceiling.
Firefighters got the blaze under control quickly with no injuries. The extent of damage, cause and origination point are all under investigation.
