Lyon County had another single-digit increase in the number of new coronavirus cases, coupled with a slight increase in active cases Thursday.
Public Health tallied eight new cases and five recovered patients. The number of active cases grew from 54 Wednesday to 57.
The number of deaths remained steady at 35. Deaths awaiting final cause from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, a separate category, dipped from four to three.
The college and university cluster remains Lyon County’s only active cluster category at this time. One cluster is listed with 62 total and four active cases.
