Lyon County’s overall coronavirus caseload saw a slight uptick while the active caseload saw a significant drop Wednesday.
Lyon County Public Health reported five new cases Wednesday bringing the overall total to 1,080 since late March. Public Health also noted 17 recoveries dropping the active case number by 12 from 66 to 54.
The number of deaths remains steady at 35 plus four cases pending death certificate information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

*Osage County has two new cases bringing its total to 108 with 18 active cases, an increase of two since Tuesday, and no deaths.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment reported 1,120 new cases and 41 new deaths statewide Wednesday. The overall total now stands 59,749 with 678 deaths. KDHE will release its next statewide update Friday.
